Klaipėda 1941

This is a stampless Nazi Germany Military field post (Feldpost) sent in 1941 from Memel (now Klaipėda, Lithuania) to Gotenhafen (now Gdynia, Poland). It is very interesting that both Memel and Gotenhafen are an important port city which Germans at the time considered as lost German territories. Gdynia (Gotenhafen) was a port built by the Poles right next to Danzig to replace it as they were unable to gain Danzig back after the WWI. Nowdays together with Danzig (Gdańsk) and Zoppot (Sopot), is it refered as the Tri-city (Trójmiasto in Polish).
